As the title suggests, this book is all about blogging and how to create a successful blog. The author does a great job of explaining the basics. What I really liked is how he simplified everything and broke it all down into simple steps. Many people who want to start a blog are not technical and Mr. Masters understands this and has written this for a non technical audience. He provides some outstanding tips about how to expand your readership and how to make your blog more visually appealing to attract more readers.

I really like the use of the visuals and screenshots as I think it made the information much easier to understand. It was also very helpful that a resource guide was provided so you can go to places online to further read about some of these topics. The best suggestion and the one that I will implement is about planning and having goals set for each day and breaking them down into simple actions. To me this was extremely helpful because I can easily overwhelm myself.

# 1. Use Favicon: – What is a Favicon? A Favicon is an icon of your blog. It will appear at browser address bar when anyone visits your blog. It will give your blog a professional look. Using Favicon is easy. You just need to search free Favicon at Google.

# 2. Add additional pages: – Give your blog a professional look by adding ‘about us’, ‘contact us’ pages. If you use WordPress for blogging, you can easily add ‘about us’ and contact us’ pages. Also you can add some other additional pages. It will give a professional look to your blog. And it will increase your blog popularity.

# 3. Improve your RSS visibility: – Improve your RSS visibility and make your reader as a subscriber. Use large RSS icon and place it at the end of every post. Use feedburner and you will get a lot RSS features. A lot of blogger are not careful on their blog RSS and simply they lose their visitors.

# 4. Offer something free: – People really love free offers. People always want to grab free offers, although they have no reason to use them. Here are some good free offers you can use to improve your blog performance:

* Offer free ebooks. People love free ebooks. Choose a topic and search material on Google. After that create at least 5 pages report about that topic and release it for free. If you consider yourself that you are not able to write a 5-pages report, upload PLR ebooks at your blog. For this you just need to search ‘PRL ebooks + your topic’ at Google.
* Offer free WordPress theme. There are millions of the WordPress users on whole world. You just need to offer them free WordPress themes. Create your own WordPress themes or search free WordPress themes at Google.
* Offer free blogger templates. Blogger.com is even more popular for blogging than WordPress. It is easy to use. Users of blogger.com always look for good and professional blogger templates. So, you should offer them free blogger templates. Create your own blogger templates or give links to free blogger template websites.
